We have a great opportunity for a select few of you to come down to our EA UK headquarters here in Guildford and get an exclusive first look at Skate 3.
We have 2 producers of the game that will be on hand to answer all of your questions and give you an exclusive preview. It will take place here in our Guildford offices on Friday 6th November; from 11am until 1pm, with lunch being included.
If you would like to come down and get a sneak peak at Skate.3 all you have to do is make sure you are aged 16 or over and able to come down on Friday. Then send us (in 50 words or less) what you are looking forward to the most in Skate.3.
Please send us your answer, as well as your name, age and email address to: eagamesmailbox@ea.com. We will then pick out the lucky winners at the beginning of next week and let you know by email, so please use an email address that you can check regularly!
Skate 3 Community Day Contest
1. General
The opening time and date of the competition is Thursday 29th October 2009 at 00:01 GMT, and the closing date and time for receipt of entries is Tuesday 3rd November at 23:59 GMT. Entries submitted after this time will not be considered.
2. Restrictions
This prize draw is open to UK residents aged sixteen (16) and over only. Employees (and members of their immediate family) of “Electronic Arts” (“EA”) (“Promoter”), their agents and anyone connected to this competition are not eligible to enter.
3. Rules to participate
No purchase of any goods or services is necessary to be eligible for entry into this competition.
Send a brief statement using 50 words or less what you are looking forward to the most in Skate 3. Send your answer, as well as your name, age and email address to: eagamesmailbox@ea.com. Winners will be selected based on the creativity and originality of their submissions.
The judges’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
4. Prize(s)
Four (4) winners will be selected to come down to EA’s UK headquarters in Guildford and get an early look at Skate 3. Two (2) producers of the game will be on hand to answer questions and give a preview of the game. The event will take place in EA’s Guildford offices on Friday 6th November 2009; from 11:00 GMT until 13:00 GMT, with lunch being included.
There are no alternatives to these prizes. They are as stated and are non-transferable. If due to circumstances beyond the control of EA, EA is unable to provide the stated prizes, EA reserves the right to award substitute prizes of equal value. All prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of the supplier.
Entrants must be available to attend the event on Friday 6th November 2009. Entrants must make their own travel arrangements to get to and from the event. EA recommends securing appropriate insurance before travelling.
5. Results
The winner will be contacted by email on Wednesday 4th November 2009.
If the winner of the prize cannot be traced after reasonable efforts have been made by EA, EA will be entitled to select alternative winner from among the entrants.
A full list of who won will be available for four (4) weeks following the day of the selection of winners. This list can be obtained by writing to Skate 3 Community Day Contest, Electronic Arts, Onslow House, Onslow Street, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 4TN
If proof of age is requested, and if satisfactory proof of age is not received, the Promoter reserves the rights to choose another winner. Entrants under 18 years of age will need parental consent to participate in the competition and claim the prize.
6. General Conditions
Any entry, which does not comply with the rules, may be deemed invalid at the sole discretion of EA. EA is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, misdirected entries, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incorrect, garbled, delayed electronic or other communications or other technical problems related to mobile entries. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of delivery.
By submitting your material to EA, you represent and warrant that your submission (a) is your own and original creation and does not violate or infringe the rights of any third party, including without limitation, copyrights, trademarks or trade dress, patents, or rights of publicity/privacy; (b) is not defamatory, obscene, offensive or indecent; and (c) and has not been previously published or submitted to other parties or websites. By submitting your material to EA, you also acknowledge that your material is not confidential or proprietary. Our review of your material does not imply that we will use, develop or publish your material. Nor does our review of your material prevent us from using, developing, publishing or marketing ideas or products that may be similar to your material.
Once you submit any material to EA, you expressly grant EA the worldwide, complete, exclusive, perpetual and irrevocable right to quote, re-post, use, reproduce, modify, distribute, transmit, broadcast, and otherwise communicate, and publicly display and perform the material in any form, anywhere, without attribution to you, and without notice or compensation to you of any kind. If we decide to use, develop or publish your material, you agree to take any further steps reasonably required by EA (and at EA’s cost) to enforce and protect our rights to your material.
Entrants agree that they may be required to take part in publicity without further consent or payment. Such publicity may include their names and/or likeness.
7. Data protection
In order to participate in the competition participants must provide certain information on themselves. This personal information is collected and processed only for the purposes of organising, running and monitoring the campaign, as well as for carrying out publicity activities on it. The organising entity shall be considered the data controller for the database containing this personal information.
By entering this competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material, which may be amended or varied at any time by the Promoter.

This prize draw is governed by and is in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
